Plans for golf in UAE unveiled

The UAE Golf Association has unveiled plans to promote the game among youngsters and improve the performance of national teams.
The association revealed their aims for the future after the first meeting of the new board, which will be headed by Shaikh Fahim Al Qassimi.
Plans to further streamline the affairs of the sport which has seen tremendous growth in recent years years were also announced following the meeting at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club at the weekend. "For any sport to flourish, it is important that we promote the game at the grassroots level," he said.
