A team of researcher studied death certificates and hospital records to try and find the top causes of death in the UAE. It was discovered that the leading causes of death were cancer (20%), injury - such as car accidents (19%), and cardiovascular diseases (12%). The average age of death for injury victims was 34, 60 for cancer, and 64 for cardiovascular diseases.
